In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, work continues on the major renovation of the tourist complex ‘Sayakat’ and the hotel complex ‘Dostuk’. This was reported by the Directorate for the Management of Sanatorium-Resort, Health Improvement, and Tourist Facilities under the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As part of the project, a complete modernization of engineering systems and infrastructure is planned, as well as attracting significant investments, which in turn will increase rental income and elevate the facilities to an international level, enhancing the tourist appeal of the capital.
Investments for the renovation of the tourist complex ‘Sayakat’ amount to 5 million US dollars, while the total amount for the complete renovation of the hotel ‘Dostuk’ ranges from 15 to 25 million US dollars. After the transfer of the hotel complex ‘Dostuk’ to the management of the Directorate, 35.59% of the shares, previously owned by a private shareholder, have been returned to the state.
It should be noted that during the renovation process, the hotel ‘Dostuk’ will not be open to visitors. Despite this, the investor has committed to timely and fully pay the rental fees, which will amount to 40 million 800 thousand soms per year. Starting from the fourth quarter of 2027, this amount will double to 80 million 580 thousand soms per year, and from the fourth quarter of 2029 until 2049, the rent will increase to 100 million 900 thousand soms per year.
“This agreement is the most beneficial and economically justified project for the hotel complex ‘Dostuk’ in its entire history,” emphasize representatives of the institution.Among the reasons for the need for a large-scale modernization are the long absence of comprehensive repairs and the deterioration of the technical condition of the buildings. The engineering networks are outdated, and some elements have become emergency. This is especially true for electrical systems and equipment that do not meet modern safety standards, creating a risk of fires and threatening the safety of employees and guests. The sewage and water supply networks have also not been updated for many years.
During the major renovation, according to agreements with investors, there will be a complete modernization of electrical systems and the installation of safe and energy-efficient equipment. Additionally, the water supply and sewage systems will be updated using modern equipment. There will also be a major repair of the roofs, facades, and interior spaces, and the heating systems will be restored.
The timely start of repair work by the investors will allow the hotel complexes to meet international standards, and soon ‘Sayakat’ and ‘Dostuk’ will take their rightful place among the largest facilities.
