At the republican meeting held on February 27, 2026, President Sadyr Japarov announced that the activation of the industrial sector has become a key direction of state policy.

The state leader noted that the implementation of 100 new industrial facilities annually has already become a stable practice.

Over the past five years, new enterprises have been launched in the manufacturing, light, and heavy industries, contributing to job creation, increased tax revenues, and overall economic growth.

The president also emphasized the importance of agriculture for the country, highlighting that Kyrgyzstan remains an agrarian nation, with a large portion of the population engaged in this sector.

"Agriculture is the destiny of millions of people, as 60% of the republic's population is employed in the agrarian sector. Caring for agriculture is caring for the citizens of the country," he noted.

Japarov added that over the past five years, support for agriculture has been a priority direction of state policy, yielding tangible results. The volume of agricultural production during this period reached 2 trillion soms.

He also reported that Kyrgyzstan is already beginning to independently provide itself with six out of nine socially significant food products that were previously imported.

"We have plans for the future, and we intend to ensure our self-sufficiency with the remaining food products," the president added.

Furthermore, he noted that around 60 types of agricultural products are exported from Kyrgyzstan to 80 countries around the world. Japarov emphasized that these successes have been made possible thanks to the coordinated work of cooperatives, the public sector, processing and industrial enterprises, as well as farmers.
