During the meeting, three key reports were presented regarding the results of work in the financial and economic sectors, as well as in the real sector and social sphere by 2025.
Sadyr Japarov noted that five years ago, in the context of the pandemic, the country faced serious challenges, including issues with the state budget, insufficient strength of institutions, and low levels of investment activity.
“We dedicated time to a deep transformation of the economic model of our country. I am convinced that the period from 2021 to 2025 will become an era of qualitative economic growth in the history of Kyrgyzstan,” the president emphasized.
According to him, in 2020, the gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 8.3 billion dollars, and by 2025 this figure will reach 22.6 billion dollars, which means an approximate threefold growth of the economy.
In addition, over five years, tax revenues have increased fourfold, customs revenues sixfold, and non-tax revenues ninefold.
The consolidated budget, which was 313 billion soms in 2020, will exceed 1 trillion 100 billion soms in 2025, representing a growth of 3.5 times.
