A new fish feed production plant has opened in the Panfilov district of the Chui region, owned by the LLC "Tian-Shan Trout." This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
The construction of this plant began in May 2025, with a total investment of 7 million dollars. Of this amount, 5 million was received as a preferential loan from a state bank.
The plant's production capacity can produce between 100 to 120 tons of feed per day. Currently, the plant is not operating at full capacity, producing only 30-40 tons of feed per day, including 12 types of fish feed, with an emphasis on trout products using Iranian technologies.
The founder of the company, Ilgiz Shamenov, expressed concern about a campaign aimed at discrediting their products, noting that such actions are coming from competing firms that import feed from abroad.
“If our feed causes fish to die or farmers incur losses due to its quality, we guarantee compensation in double the amount,” he stated.

He also added: “If the rumors that the fish will not gain market weight turn out to be true, we are ready to compensate for the difference. This is just slander,” emphasized Shamenov.
The price of one kilogram of fish feed is 200 soms, while feed for fry is slightly more expensive. In comparison, imported analogs range from 175 to 250 soms per kilogram.
The plant is located on a site of about 7 hectares and, once it reaches full capacity, will provide between 100 to 120 permanent jobs.
