- The Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Erlis Akunbekov, has led initiatives to combat the worsening epizootic situation. This was reported by the press service of the relevant ministry.

As part of his working trip to the regions, he visited several farms, where he held meetings with livestock breeders and representatives of the agricultural sector.

During these meetings, important aspects concerning the development of livestock farming and ensuring veterinary safety were discussed.

“According to information from livestock breeders, there has been an increase in cases of diseases among livestock in recent years, which underscores the need for more active preventive measures, timely diagnostics, and rapid responses from veterinary services,” the statement noted.

The minister instructed the relevant services to strengthen veterinary control, engage in continuous monitoring of the epizootic situation, intensify preventive work on farms, and respond quickly to reports of animal diseases.

Additionally, it was reported that funds from the republican budget have been allocated for the purchase of biological products and laboratory diagnostic kits.

The Ministry of Agriculture urged livestock owners to promptly inform veterinary specialists about signs of diseases and to follow the recommendations of the veterinary service.
