The purpose of this document is to implement the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Ensuring Food Safety in the Kyrgyz Republic." It proposes to approve:
— the procedure for mandatory conformity assessment for machines, equipment, as well as materials and products used at various stages of development, production, and circulation of food products;
— a list of necessary information for state monitoring, as well as the rules for its provision by customs authorities, authorized bodies for technical regulation, conformity assessment bodies, and testing laboratories.
The draft also stipulates that materials and products that will come into contact with food products must be accompanied by a document confirming their compliance with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
If the resolution is adopted, ministries and agencies will have six months to align their decisions with the new procedure, and accredited product certification bodies will need to follow the approved rules.
The document will come into effect 15 days after its official publication.
