As part of this project, the approval of two main documents is proposed:
- the procedure for mandatory confirmation of compliance for machines, equipment, materials, and products used at all stages of food production;
- a list of data for state monitoring that must be provided by customs authorities, technical regulation bodies, certification bodies, and testing laboratories.
According to the draft, all materials and products that come into contact with food products must have documents confirming their compliance with the technical regulations of the EAEU.
It is expected that the new procedure will strengthen control over food safety, prevent the entry of potentially dangerous products into the market, and improve the quality of state supervision.
Additionally, the project includes a detailed list of data that will be collected as part of the monitoring:
- registration information about manufacturers and importers;
- data from customs authorities regarding imported products;
- information on current technical regulations of the EAEU;
- data on certificates of compliance, declarations, laboratory research results, and identified non-compliances;
- reports of health threats, food poisoning incidents, and violations of safety requirements.
The document contains a directive for ministries and agencies to align their regulatory acts with the new rules within six months.
