- On the air of Radio Kanat, Askeev, Deputy General Director of OJSC "Chakan HPP," emphasized that the development of infrastructure for electric vehicle charging is a pressing task for Kyrgyzstan.

In his opinion, local self-government bodies play a key role in this process, as they are the ones who issue permits for the installation of such facilities based on general plans and territorial development programs.

“If local authorities are open to cooperation and provide the opportunity to install electric charging stations not only for our company but also for other interested organizations, it will help create a network of charging stations across the country,” Askeev noted.

He also explained that electric vehicles can travel from 300 to 500 kilometers on a single charge. In the absence of a charging station along the route, drivers need to plan their trips in advance to avoid situations where they might run out of energy.

Askeev believes that the presence of an extensive network of charging stations will allow motorists to move freely across the country, recharging their cars as needed without the fear of getting stranded on the road.

The Deputy General Director of the company emphasized that the main step from the government should be to simplify and expedite the process of allocating land plots for the installation of such stations.

“This is the most effective way to develop this direction throughout the republic,” he added.
