In Kyrgyzstan, 4 million tons of cement and 5 million tons of coal were produced in 2025, - National Statistics Committee

In Kyrgyzstan, a noticeable growth is observed in various sectors of industry in 2025, as reported at a press conference by Ainura Mamanova, head of the department of industrial and energy statistics.

According to her information, the production of construction materials increased by 36.6% compared to last year. In particular, the volume of cement production rose by 37.4%, reaching over 4 million tons, which is 1 million tons more than in 2024.

The pharmaceutical products showed an increase of 1.7 times, which is associated with the growth in the production of medicines. At the same time, the textile, clothing, and footwear sector grew by 10%, while clothing production increased by 16%.

The volume of petroleum products also increased by 3%. Specifically, in 2025, more than 185 thousand tons of gasoline were produced, which is 24 thousand tons more than in the previous year, corresponding to a growth of 15%.

The chemical industry saw a growth of 20%. The production of soap and detergents increased by 15%, while paints and varnishes grew by 24%.

Mining of mineral resources increased by 14.2%, thanks to a 22% rise in the extraction of metallic ores and a 10% increase in coal. In 2025, about 5 million tons of coal were mined in the country, which is 517 thousand tons more compared to 2024.

Electricity, gas, and steam production rose by 11.2%. Throughout the year, about 16 billion kWh of electricity were generated, of which 87% came from hydropower plants.

The manufacturing industry occupies the largest share in the structure of industrial production, accounting for 80%. Of this volume, 60% is attributed to the production of basic metals, 70% to food products, 10% to construction materials, 4% to textiles and clothing, and 3% to petroleum products.
