In the Jogorku Kenesh, a discussion took place regarding the appointment of Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov as the head of the GKNB, during which deputies asked questions.
Dastan Bekeshev inquired why there is a curator from the GKNB in parliament, media reports.
“What is the purpose of this? He was appointed a long time ago, and I don’t understand why this is necessary. We have a representative of the president and a speaker; we can resolve issues in a closed manner. Why do we need a GKNB curator? Someone needs to answer this. Are we enemies that we need curators over us?” the deputy questioned.
Speaker Marlen Mamataliyev promised that the deputy would receive a written response to his inquiry.
Bekeshev also noted that society has many questions for the new leadership of the GKNB, including the situation with the seizure of property from citizens in favor of the state.
“It turns out that there are employees in the GKNB with unusual nicknames — Vaseline, Slime, and so on. How many more such people work in the GKNB? Will they be held accountable? Will the cases caused by them be reviewed? These individuals have harmed many citizens. People feared the GKNB as if it were characters from horror movies. In some cases, this was justified, while in others, it was excessive. I would like to hear about the future,” he added.
Additionally, Bekeshev mentioned that the GKNB blocked TikTok without a court decision and called for the cancellation of this decision, pointing out that similar content is available on YouTube.
Deputy head of the GKNB Alisher Erbaev commented on the nicknames of detained operatives, such as Slime, Vaseline, and others.
He noted that perhaps such nicknames were given to them by the people.
“By law, each employee has their position, rank, and title. No members of gangs serve and should serve in the GKNB,” Erbaev stated.
Deputy Ismanali Joroev reported on the constant inspections of businesses by GKNB employees and private auditors.
He added that the conclusion of a private auditor can only be advisory and cannot be equated with the conclusions of the Accounts Chamber.
In this regard, entrepreneurs expressed their dissatisfaction.
