On February 27, a nationwide meeting is taking place in Bishkek, attended by President Sadyr Japarov.

At the event, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, presented a report on achievements in the economic and financial sectors for the year 2025.

Kasymaliev noted that the services sector demonstrated significant growth, amounting to 1 trillion 11 billion soms, which corresponds to an increase of 10.9% compared to the previous year.

This sector ranked second in terms of production growth rates, second only to construction. The volume of services provided has tripled compared to 2020.

“Sadyr Nurgozhoevich, I would like to highlight two key points in the structure of the services sector:

The first point concerns financial services, which account for 7.1% of GDP. Bank assets exceeded 1 trillion soms, and the loan portfolio increased by 48.8%.

The second point concerns wholesale and retail trade, which makes up 31% of GDP. This indicates a move out of the shadow economy and the formation of official statistics,” added Kasymaliev.

The Cabinet also reminded that according to the established plan, the share of the manufacturing sector in the economy should reach 28-30% by 2030. This indicates the need for Kyrgyzstan to transition from a service-based economy to an industrial-agrarian model.
