According to the new decision, the Supreme Court overturned the sentence issued on October 10, 2024, under which Mahabat Tajibek kyzy was sentenced to six years in prison. The decisions of the Bishkek City Court dated December 18, 2024, and the Supreme Court dated February 25, 2025, which upheld the previous rulings, have also been annulled.

Previously, the UN working group on arbitrary detention noted that the arrest of employees of the Temirov LIVE projects and "Ayt, ait dese" violates the norms of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. In this regard, recommendations were sent, including a request to release Mahabat Tajibek kyzy.

Mahabat Tajibek kyzy's lawyer, based on the UN findings, filed a petition for a review of the case in the Supreme Court.

In January 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 11 people, including journalists and activists, who were allegedly connected to the Temirov LIVE and "Ayt, ait dese" projects. They were charged under the article on mass riots.

As part of this case, the Lenin District Court on October 10, 2024, sentenced Mahabat Tajibek kyzy to six years in prison, while Azamat Ishembekov received a five-year sentence. Later, higher courts upheld these sentences. Journalists Aktilek Kaparov and Aika Beishikeeva were sentenced to three years of probation, while the other seven were acquitted.

Azamat Ishembekov was released in April 2025 based on a presidential act of clemency.

Mahabat Tajibek kyzy is currently serving her sentence in the women's colony No. 2, located in the Chui region. She is the wife of Bolot Temirov — an investigative journalist who was convicted and forcibly deported abroad.

On October 27 of last year, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek recognized the materials of the media projects Temirov Live, "Ayt ait dese," and "Kloop," as well as the activities of their founders — journalists Bolot Temirov and Rinat Tukhvatshin — as extremist, which effectively led to the banning of their websites and pages.
