- The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to France and Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN on UNESCO issues, Sadik Sher-Niyaz, has developed and patented a unique technology for constructing houses from lightweight structures — monoblocks.

In his interview with the AKIpress agency, he noted that this solution serves as an alternative to light steel thin-walled structures (LSTC), as well as structurally insulated panels (SIP) and construction technologies popular in Finland and Canada.

The idea of creating such houses is inspired by the architectural philosophy of the Kyrgyz yurt.

“A yurt is a structure that has demonstrated its strength and stability for thousands of years,” says Sher-Niyaz.

Houses built using this technology are constructed in a short time on the principle of Lego, which allows for independence from weather conditions, thereby eliminating seasonal limitations. The design also allows for the use of various insulation materials for filling or thermal insulation.

“We live in an era when it is necessary to rethink approaches to construction. Today, building housing takes too much time and financial resources — it is time to change the culture of this activity. We must adapt to the rapidly changing technological world and create a new philosophy of construction that is more rational, fast, and economical,” emphasizes Sher-Niyaz.

This technology not only reduces wall costs compared to brick structures. Due to the lightweight nature of the houses, the load on the foundation is decreased, allowing for a 30–40% reduction in construction costs. Moreover, the roof, designed with geometrically correct solutions, can be installed faster and more accurately, which also lowers expenses.

This approach to roof construction is already actively used in the USA and Russia; however, this market is still undeveloped in Kyrgyzstan. Traditional methods, such as brick and makeshift solutions, are still often used here, leading to low-quality and complex-to-install roofs.

Construction of single-story houses, utility buildings, and garages from monoblocks can be carried out similarly to assembling a constructor set. Lightweight blocks, precise joints, and high assembly speed allow one person to erect walls without the help of a crew or complex tools.
