Construction of a new building for the regional office of the Ministry of Natural Resources has begun in the Issyk-Kul region.

In the Issyk-Kul region, a ceremonial laying of a capsule took place, symbolizing the start of construction of a new administrative building for the regional office of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Present at the ceremony were the Minister of Natural Resources Meder Mashiev, his First Deputy Bolot Jusupbekov, the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Issyk-Kul region Daniyar Arpachiev, the Akim of the Issyk-Kul district Japarbek Ormonov, and the Mayor of Cholpon-Ata Rustam Kadyrkulov.

Speaking to the participants, the minister emphasized that the opening of the new building is of significant importance for the region. He noted that environmental protection and the preservation of natural resources are key priorities for the state. It is expected that the new building will improve environmental safety and strengthen control over the preservation of the unique nature of Issyk-Kul.

The ministry also reported that in 2025, in accordance with presidential decrees, 98 raid activities were conducted in the Issyk-Kul region, during which 30.6 km of illegally installed synthetic fishing nets were destroyed. The damage from these actions is estimated at more than 3 million soms.

The construction will be carried out by the state institution "Department of State Buildings" under the Office of the President. The completion of the work is scheduled for August 31, and 79 million soms have been allocated from the ministry's budget for the implementation of the project.

The project is being implemented as part of decrees aimed at protecting the ecology of Issyk-Kul and strengthening measures for environmental control.
