According to the press service of the Ministry of Nature, the purpose of the event was to develop comprehensive solutions and measures for the construction, reconstruction, and modernization of outdated treatment facilities.
From November to December 2025, an interdepartmental working group visited 32 cities across the country to assess the condition of the treatment facilities.
During the inspections, an evaluation of the technical condition of the facilities, the level of equipment wear, and compliance with environmental standards was conducted. Issues of modernization and increasing production capacities were also discussed.
The Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry assessed the effectiveness of wastewater treatment at municipal treatment facilities.
