On February 24, a meeting was held in the parliament's meeting room with the directors of schools in Bishkek, attended by Marlen Mamataliev, the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh.

As reported by the parliament's press service, during the event he discussed issues related to the development of the education sector and support for teachers. Mamataliev noted that this year an increase in salaries for educators is planned, but this is just the beginning.

“We intend to raise teachers' salaries this year. But our efforts will not stop there. The Jogorku Kenesh, within its powers, will continue to work on strengthening the legislative framework that promotes the development of education and improves working conditions for teachers. We will support all initiatives that contribute to this goal. It is time to make changes to the relevant laws; this is a necessity of the times,” he emphasized.

In addition, the speaker commented on incidents involving school students, noting that the responsibility for the upbringing of youth should not rest solely on educators.

“It is important to remember that the foundation of upbringing is laid in the family. If parents, teachers, and society are involved in this process, we can raise a wonderful generation,” Mamataliev added.
