The opening of the cable car in "Ala-Archa" is planned for mid-February.
The test operation of the new cable car in Ala-Archa National Park has begun. This was reported by the Kabar agency, citing the presidential administration.
Currently, engineers from Doppelmayr, a recognized world leader in the design and maintenance of cable lifts, are conducting technical tests as part of the commissioning work. Final adjustments to the safety systems are being completed, and preparations for load testing are underway. At the same time, training is being provided for the staff who will ensure the operation of the cable car and the safety of visitors.
As clarified by the presidential administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, after the successful completion of all tests and technical adjustments, the cable car will be ready to welcome tourists. The official opening is expected to take place around February 14-15, but the exact date will be announced later, following the completion of all work.
It is worth noting that the construction of this cable car began in January 2025, and its total length will be 23 km. This project has become one of the most significant infrastructure facilities in the country's tourism sector, which, in turn, is expected to significantly increase the park's attractiveness and improve access to its natural beauty.
