In the "Couples" section, we present the story of Kyrgyz Aydana Kalishchuk and Russian Sergey Kalishchuk.

Sergey, born in 1995 in Toktogul, located in the Jalal-Abad region, decided to convert to Islam at the age of 12 and chose the name Abdullah. He currently resides in Belovodsk, located in the Moscow district of the Chui region, where he works as an auto blogger and is involved in car trading. Sergey has a secondary education, having completed 9 grades.

“I got married in 2020 when I turned 25. I met my future wife through a friend’s sister. She made a strong impression on me at first sight, and I immediately declared, ‘I will marry you.’ We met on May 25, and we had our wedding on June 25,” he shared.

The wedding ceremony coincided with the pandemic, so it was modest: many relatives could not attend. The ceremony was organized according to Kyrgyz traditions. Aydana Kalishchuk (née Abdullaeva), born in 1997 in Osh, now carries her husband's surname.

Sergey noted that none of their relatives opposed their marriage: his mother supported him, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law also approved of their daughter's choice. “Aydana and I have never had a quarrel; we have complete mutual understanding,” he added.

According to Sergey, his wife does not speak Russian very confidently, while his mother does not know Kyrgyz well. “Nevertheless, Aydana always communicates with her in Kyrgyz, and my mother responds in Russian. It looks quite amusing,” he noted.

Sergey also emphasized that he is familiar with his wife's family traditions, as he lives in Kyrgyzstan and understands Kyrgyz customs. In his free time, he is passionate about cars and dreams of benefiting the people of Kyrgyzstan in the future,” Sergey shared.
