In Kyrgyzstan, there are plans to increase the number of Russian language teachers, which currently stands at about 180. This was announced by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Kyrgyzstan, Sergey Vakunov, in an interview with the channel "Russia 24".

Sergey Vakunov noted that a significant project initiated by the president is currently being implemented in the republic, which includes the construction of nine general education schools with instruction in the Russian language.

“In Kyrgyzstan, up to 180 teachers of the Russian language and literature work annually, and in the future, we plan to increase this number. As part of the presidential project, nine schools with Russian language instruction are being built in the republic,” the ambassador added.

It should be noted that in the coming years, Russia intends to build nine schools across Kyrgyzstan.

The ceremony for laying the capsules for the new educational institutions took place on September 1, 2023, in Bishkek, Batken, and Karakol. Construction will begin in 2024, with plans to build three schools annually.
