Autism is one of the most discussed topics in modern medicine and educational practice. According to international studies, the number of children with ASD is steadily increasing, highlighting the relevance of early detection, support, and social adaptation.
In Kyrgyzstan, there is a lack of data on the early diagnosis of autism; however, there has been a sharp increase in the number of ASD diagnoses among children.The conference will create a platform for open dialogue among all stakeholders striving to master modern and effective methods of applied behavior analysis, as well as to create a supportive environment for people with autism.
- In Bishkek, there are about 50 correctional and educational institutions working with children who have developmental delays. The goal of the conference is to unite the efforts of interdisciplinary specialists to provide quality assistance to children with ASD.
- The audience of the conference includes ABA specialists, supervisors, educators, doctors, speech therapists, defectologists, managers of children's centers, and parents—all those who work with children with special needs and use evidence-based methods.
The main speaker of the conference will be Darya Li-Romanova (clinical psychologist, supervisor of ABA, BCBA, IBA, CBA-S, Hong Kong). Experts from Russia are also expected to participate.
The national expertise will be presented by specialists with extensive experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
The format of the event includes presentations, panel discussions, and discussions on pressing issues faced by families and professionals.
The conference organizers have initiated a charity campaign, under which parents of children with ASD will be able to participate in the conference for free.The holding of this conference emphasizes the importance of public attention to the problem of autism and the need for joint efforts to create an inclusive society where everyone has the right to support and the opportunity to realize their potential.
