Kyrgyzstan ratifies the readmission agreement with Belarus

The agreement will simplify the process of returning citizens who are illegally in the country

Currently, a draft law regarding the ratification of the readmission agreement signed on September 29, 2025, in Minsk between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus is being discussed in the Jogorku Kenesh.

This document will create conditions for the faster return of those who are illegally residing in another country, as well as simplify the process of transit for individuals subject to deportation, in accordance with international standards.

Furthermore, the agreement will open new horizons for cooperation between the competent authorities of both countries in the fight against illegal migration.

The ratification process of this agreement aligns with the "roadmap" for Kyrgyzstan's integration into the Single Economic Space along with Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia, and also expands the range of international readmission agreements already concluded with Russia, Kazakhstan, and Switzerland.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there are currently 654 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Belarus.
