
Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that investments in the educational sector are the foundation for the country's progress
During his working trip to the Osh region, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, attended the ceremonial opening of a new school in the village of Zhylandy in the Uzgen district.
The school, designed for 275 students, was built with funds from the republican budget amounting to 152 million soms. The building is equipped with modern classrooms, a library, a cafeteria, and all necessary infrastructure. As noted by Kasymaliev, the previous school building served for about 50 years.
In his speech at the opening, he emphasized that education remains one of the main priorities of the state.
"Knowledge, not power, governs the world. An educated people are the main wealth of the country," he noted, emphasizing that improving the quality of education is an important direction of President Sadyr Japarov's policy.
The head of the government also reported that 16 new schools are planned to be opened in the region by 2025. He added that starting from April of this year, salary increases for teachers are planned, and budgetary opportunities will allow for increased incomes for healthcare and cultural workers.
Addressing the educators, Kasymaliev emphasized that the expansion of the school network and reforms in wages must be accompanied by improvements in the quality of education.
"Only through an effective educational system is the development of the country possible," he concluded.
