The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic (GNS KR) reminds taxpayers that all owners of taxable property are required to verify the compliance of information in ownership documents with the data stored in state registration bodies.
In particular, this verification applies to both individuals and legal entities that own taxable properties. It is necessary to check the following information specified in the documents against the information provided in the system of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic (GU "Cadastre"):
– TIN;
– full name or title of the owner;
– sizes of real estate and land plots;
– purpose of use of the property;
– ownership shares;
– dates of acquisition or transfer of rights;
– other necessary data.
The agency emphasizes that updating this information is important for the correct automated calculation of the tax on residential and non-residential properties for the year 2026.
The GNS strongly recommends that taxpayers do not delay the verification of information to avoid errors in tax calculations.
It should be noted that according to tax legislation, the responsibility for calculating and assessing property tax lies with the tax authorities, while taxpayers are only required to pay the assessed amount on time.
In addition, the Tax Service is actively working on implementing technologies for the automatic assessment of taxes on residential and non-residential properties.
These initiatives aim to create comfortable conditions for taxpayers and simplify the process of calculating local taxes.
