The capital's law enforcement agencies are actively implementing measures to maintain law and order in the field of migration. This includes monitoring migration flows, combating illegal migration, as well as identifying foreign citizens and stateless persons who may pose a threat to security and order in the capital. As part of this work, efforts are also being made to locate individuals who are wanted.
During the specified period, more than 82,000 offenses in the migration sphere were registered. The majority of these, specifically 19,000, are related to violations of the rules for the entry and stay of foreign citizens in Russia.
Additionally, around 9,000 violations pertain to the employment of migrants and stateless persons, while more than 6,000 cases relate to the illegal employment of foreign citizens.
During over 11,000 inspections in public places in Moscow, such as shopping centers, restaurants, hostels, and construction sites, decisions were made to expel more than 26,000 foreign citizens. Of these, about 18,000 were placed in the Temporary Detention Center, and 646 individuals were deported.
The effective work allowed for the identification of 382 foreign citizens who were wanted for various crimes, including serious offenses. Additionally, 151 individuals were identified who had changed their details for entry into the country after being banned due to violations.
According to the new provisions of the Law "On Citizenship of the Russian Federation," a mechanism for the cancellation of acquired citizenship has been introduced. As a result, 51 migrants lost their Russian citizenship, of which 23 individuals were linked to the commission of particularly serious crimes, including murders, kidnappings, sexual violence, illegal drug trafficking, and threats to national security.
