In Osh, on February 25, a solemn ceremony took place during which secondary school No. 7 was named after the famous statesman Absamat Masaliev. The educational institution was officially opened after the completion of a major renovation that significantly updated its building.

As reported by Tynchtykbek Dosmuratov, head of the city education department, there are currently 4,615 students enrolled at the Absamat Masaliev school. "The first building was constructed in 1981, and the second in 2020. However, the three-story building had not undergone major repairs since its construction. After the work was completed, the school was transformed: it now meets modern standards and is equipped with everything necessary for safe and comfortable learning," he added.



According to information from the Capital Construction Department of the Osh City Hall, the contractor for the work was the company OsOO "Comfort House Group." The total cost of the renovation project exceeded 82 million soms, with funding provided from the republican budget. The work began in August 2025 and was completed in December of the same year.

According to the Ministry of Justice, Turgunbaev Seitek Turgunbaevich is the head and founder of OsOO "Comfort House Group," registered on June 3, 2025, and re-registered on July 30, 2025. The company's main profile is the construction of residential and non-residential buildings.

Absamat Masaliev, born on April 10, 1933, in the village of Alysh in the Kadamjai district, passed away on July 31, 2004.

In 1953, he completed his studies at the Kyzyl-Kiya Mining Technical School, and then in 1956 at the Moscow Mining Institute, and in 1964 at the Almaty Higher Party School.

His career began in 1956 when he worked as an assistant to the mine manager and then held several significant positions, including deputy chief engineer of the mine and inspector of the Party-State Control Committee. From 1966 to 1971, Masaliev was the head of the industrial transport department of the Osh regional party committee and the first secretary of the Tash-Kumyr city party committee.

From 1972 to 1985, he served as chairman of the Frunze City Executive Committee and secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan. In the following years, he worked in various structures, including the Central Committee of the CPSU, and became the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR.

From 1993 to 1996, Masaliev headed the State Mining and Industrial Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, and his contribution to state building has been recognized with numerous awards, such as the Order of the October Revolution and the Order of "Manas" III degree.

The rural district named after A. Masaliev was established in 1996, located at an altitude of 1,100 meters and 35 km from the center of the district. The district includes several villages, with a population of about 13,000 people. There are 5 schools, a kindergarten, healthcare facilities, and numerous mosques in this district.
