The developer of ChatGPT, the American company OpenAI, has published a report highlighting cases of artificial intelligence abuse. The document states that a network of accounts associated with the Russian military Telegram channel "Rybar" has been blocked.

According to information from OpenAI, the group used ChatGPT to create content that was then published on social media. These materials were prepared in Russian, English, and Spanish. Some of them were posted on accounts associated with "Rybar," as well as on the official website of the project.

Additionally, the chatbot was tasked with generating groups of comments in English, which were posted on Telegram and the social network X through anonymous accounts.

The report also mentions that the main account of the network made requests for translations of a list of services that "Rybar" could offer its clients. This list included managing accounts on Telegram and X, creating a bilingual "investigative journalism" website aimed at an African audience, placing paid publications in French-speaking media, and forming a network of accounts for disseminating information.

Some requests concerned editing phrases related to interference in electoral processes in Africa. In particular, information campaigns targeting the Democratic Republic of the Congo, elections in Burundi and Cameroon, as well as Madagascar, including the creation of protest sentiments, were mentioned.

According to Russian media, the Telegram channel "Rybar" has over 1.5 million subscribers. It was founded by Mikhail Zvinchuk, a former employee of the Russian Ministry of Defense's press service, and his colleague Denis Shchukin. Earlier, The Bell reported on the possible financial involvement of the founder of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, in this project.
