Today, March 26, during his official visit to Russia, Marlen Mamataliev held talks with Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of political and economic cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian aspects, including the prospects for inter-parliamentary interaction.

Marlen Mamataliev raised issues of migrants and EAEU benefits during the meeting with Vyacheslav Volodin

The Speaker noted the active cooperation between the Jogorku Kenesh and the Federal Assembly within the framework of the bilateral commission, specialized committees, and international organizations.

He also emphasized that the trusting relations between the heads of state contribute to strengthening cooperation. "We have great potential for deepening interaction in key areas such as energy, investment, transport, industry, and agriculture, as well as for strengthening cultural ties," he added.

Marlen Mamataliev also raised a number of pressing issues:

"We are interested in safe and orderly labor migration, as well as in protecting the rights of our citizens. The implementation of digital accounting through the 'Amina' application in Moscow has shown positive effects, and we propose to extend it to other regions, including accounting for children. It is also necessary to address issues with the program, such as printing and the registry. Another important issue is access for family members of workers to mandatory medical insurance, and we would like to find a mutually acceptable solution based on EAEU practices. We also propose to exempt the children of Kyrgyz citizens from language testing in Russian schools, considering the status of the Russian language. Furthermore, it is worth considering simplifying the procedures for extending stay and developing a mechanism for exclusion from the registry of controlled persons without the need to leave Russia. Finally, it is necessary to maintain existing preferences for citizens of EAEU countries and support the extension of stay for international carriers," Mamataliev clarified.

Vyacheslav Volodin, in turn, emphasized the importance of various formats of cooperation and the need for further development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

"The dynamics in relations are set by the heads of state, but we must also do everything on our part to provide legislative support for the agreements reached and to develop cooperation," he noted.

"We have always found joint solutions, even on complex issues. Dialogue is the basis of trust, and trust, in turn, contributes to development. Impressive results: last year, trade turnover increased by more than 25%. Russia is one of Kyrgyzstan's key partners in this area," Volodin concluded.

At the end of the official meeting, Vyacheslav Volodin engaged relevant structures and heads of departments to develop solutions to the raised issues.
