Recall that on March 10, Kuanychbek Kongantiev vacated his deputy mandate. Chingiz Aydarbekov was next on the list of candidates, but the CEC has not yet made a decision on his appointment, citing "some circumstances that require clarification through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."
Aydarbekov emphasized that his experience in the diplomatic field spans about 22 years.
"During this time, I have not received a single negative assessment. On the contrary, my achievements have been recognized at various levels, including letters of appreciation from the president," he noted.
From 2010 to 2011, he served as the deputy head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration under Roza Otunbayeva and was also appointed by Almazbek Atambayev as ambassador to Japan. In the following two years, he headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under Sooronbay Jeenbekov and worked as an advisor to Sadyr Japarov on strategic foreign policy issues. After Japarov decided to run in the presidential elections, Aydarbekov resigned from his position and focused on public activities. As a result of voter trust, he was elected as a deputy of the VII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh.
The former deputy expressed bewilderment regarding what new circumstances could have arisen in his life after the elections that require additional verification by the CEC.
"If there were any violations or illegal actions, measures would have been taken immediately, wouldn't they? I announced my intention to run for the VIII convocation, and the CEC checked and registered my candidacy. In the elections in November 2025, I received 6,259 votes. This is a measure of people's trust. What could have happened in the last four months that the CEC has been checking me for 19 days? If there were any court cases, the Ministry of Internal Affairs could provide all the information within one day. Such information reaches the CEC within three days, meanwhile, a number of deputies have already begun their work in the Jogorku Kenesh," he added.
According to Aydarbekov, the CEC must fulfill the will of the voters and not get involved in intrigues.
The CEC must act in accordance with the Constitution, fulfilling the decisions of the people. Within three days, it is obliged to issue a mandate to the deputy to whom the voters entrusted their votes. Today is already the 19th day of delay. This has never happened in the history of independent Kyrgyzstan. The CEC must perform its functions without succumbing to intrigues.
