Nurdan Oruntaev, the head of the Ministry of Construction, commented on rumors about the high salaries of employees in his department. He noted that the salary system is based on the principle of self-sufficiency. According to the minister, the average income of ministry employees is about 150,000 soms, but in some divisions, salaries can reach up to 500,000 soms. "Earnings are proportional to how a person works," he added on his social media.
Oruntaev emphasized that the Ministry employs highly qualified specialists who are in high demand in the labor market. Among them are architects, engineers, builders, and designers who are involved in the expertise of project documentation, oversee the construction of apartment buildings and other facilities, and ensure compliance with all necessary standards. According to the minister, this is what explains their salary level.
