How to avoid confusion when assigning identification numbers?
The question of obtaining PIN codes by men and women was raised in the Jogorku Kenesh. The Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies, Nursultan Kubanov, confirmed that such an opportunity does not exist.
During the discussion, deputies, in particular Dastanbek Jumabekov, expressed concerns about potential confusion in assigning personal identification numbers (PINs). He asked whether people changing their gender would be able to obtain the corresponding PINs.
The deputy noted: "There are cases where women become men, and vice versa. How will this be regulated from a legal standpoint?"
In response, Kubanov stated that the current rules would remain unchanged.
It is worth recalling that earlier, during the discussion of the draft law, Ernes Dosaliev, the deputy director of the State Enterprise "Kyzmat," mentioned a case where a man in the country changed his gender to female and requested assistance in obtaining a new PIN.
