On January 19, the State Agency "Kyzmat" made a statement emphasizing that it does not support changes to the personal identification number (PIN) due to gender transition. This clarification came after discussions at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.

The meeting concerned a draft law proposed by the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies, which regulates the procedure for changing the PIN in cases related to technical errors, duplication of numbers, inaccuracies in data about gender or date of birth, as well as in other cases provided for by law.

The Deputy Director of the State Agency "Kyzmat," Ernes Dosaliev, provided a hypothetical example where "a man changed his gender" to explain possible legal situations. This example does not reflect reality and is not an initiative of the agency, as stated in their clarification. Reference to the source.

The main principle of the draft law remains "one person - one PIN," which should ensure the accuracy of data in state information systems. The State Agency "Kyzmat" strongly requests that their official position be taken into account and that incorrect interpretations be avoided.
