A statement has been received from a citizen at the state institution "Kyzmat"
For the first time in Kyrgyzstan, a request has been registered to change the gender in official documents. This was reported by Ernes Dosaliev, the deputy director of the "Kyzmat" institution.
According to him, last week a man approached the institution with a request to change the information about his gender in his documents. Currently, the materials are under review.
Dosaliev added that the current legislation of the country allows for such changes, which are carried out based on a medical certificate.
This information was announced at a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues of science, education, innovative development, information technologies, culture, sports, and youth affairs.
