A draft law is being discussed in the Jogorku Kenesh, which proposes amendments to the law on personalized accounting of citizens. The main goal of this document is to simplify the procedure for changing the personal identification number (PIN) in case of technical errors.
According to the proposed amendments, citizens will be able to correct their PIN not only in cases of errors that occurred before July 1, 2017, but also later. This applies to situations related to incorrect indication of gender, date of birth, surname, first name, and patronymic, as well as technical failures and cases where the same individual has multiple identification numbers.
The draft law aims to eliminate discrepancies in the current legislation and align it with the rules that will be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2025. This innovation will allow citizens to promptly correct errors in state registers, significantly simplifying the process of obtaining various documents and social services.
