According to the proposal, the list of materials permitted for use in the construction and fencing of FEZ zones will be significantly expanded. Now, in addition to traditional metal structures, concrete, and barbed wire, investors will be able to use other materials agreed upon with customs authorities. This innovation, according to the authors of the initiative, will open up opportunities for designers to use more modern and cost-effective solutions.
It is also proposed to introduce an exception for facilities under security control: the requirements will not apply to those FEZ areas aimed at developing tourism infrastructure and attracting investments.
The government noted that the main goal of this project is to create more flexible conditions for the functioning of FEZ, which, in turn, will increase the attractiveness of regions for foreign investors and accelerate the launch of new projects.
