At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, a draft law concerning amendments to the Law "On State and Municipal Services" is being discussed. Some deputies have expressed their opposition to the proposed adjustments.

Kamila Talieva drew attention to the point regarding the optimization of requirements for the standards of state and municipal services. She emphasized: "You talk about creating a reserve for improving technical services. However, the state should not be a commercial store and profit from social services. It is important that the principle remains covering expenses," she noted.

The deputy added: "In this draft law, you are mixing state services and business, which negatively affects citizens. I am against this poorly developed document and propose to quickly create a working group of experienced specialists for its refinement."

Deputy Minister of Economy Choro Seiitov commented: "We do not plan to introduce paid services in all state institutions. The increase in tariffs is being considered only in some state institutions operating on a self-financing basis. These institutions, including joint-stock companies, face additional expenses, and we do not intend to profit from this. The funds will be directed towards improving the material and technical base," he explained.
