In the "Our People Abroad" section, we will tell you about 18-year-old Sezimai Ismailova, who was born in the village of Kyzyl-Dyikan, located in the Uzgen district of the Osh region.

Sezimai is the eldest of four children and currently lives in Denizli, Turkey, where she is studying to become an economist at Pamukkale University.

“Since childhood, I dreamed of studying in Turkey. Starting from the 9th grade, I actively gathered information about educational opportunities and participated in webinars. In the 11th grade, despite my parents' resistance, I prepared the documents to participate in the 'Türkiye Bursları' program and submitted my application. After being accepted, my parents supported my decision to study abroad,” she shares.

Sezimai noted that Turkey offers significant opportunities for students and has a well-developed educational system that creates conditions for comprehensive development.

“Here, people are open and friendly; they understand foreigners and are always ready to help,” she added.

One of the main advantages of studying in Turkey, according to Sezimai, is the practical experience: “Education here is focused on practical skills, with free courses, clubs, and sports activities offered. I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions provided by the university and the kindness of the local residents,” she said.

Studying has helped Sezimai learn to be independent and responsible, as well as make friends from different countries.

“Just a month later, I started speaking Turkish fluently. I realized that while in a foreign country, I represent not only myself but also my homeland, so I try to show Kyrgyzstan in the best light,” she noted.

Initially, Sezimai lived in a dormitory with three Turkish girls, which, as it turned out, was done intentionally to help foreign students learn the language more quickly. Despite some difficulties she faced due to the language barrier, she now believes that these challenges made her more patient.

There are also Kyrgyz students studying in Denizli, with whom she keeps in touch and communicates.

In her free time, Sezimai practices archery, goes to the gym, reads books, and writes poetry. She also loves to travel and tries to explore other cities in Turkey, as well as participate in various free courses.

Her goal is to successfully complete her education, return to Kyrgyzstan, and become a qualified specialist in the field of economics to contribute to the development of her country,” Sezimai shared.
