At the Kyrgyz State Technical University (KRSU), a radical reduction of educational programs is planned. This information became known after the meeting of Gulzat Isamatova, the Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations, with the university administration.
As reported by KRSU Rector Sergey Volkov, the university's development strategy has been revised, covering many aspects, including the construction of new infrastructure and dormitories, as well as providing financial support to students on a competitive basis and employment programs. KRSU also intends to develop exchange and internship programs with Russia, China, and other countries.
During the discussion, the minister and the rector addressed issues related to funding, scholarship support, and the optimization of educational programs. As part of this, a phased reduction of the number of outdated programs from 130 to 100 is planned, with a simultaneous focus on training specialists who are truly in demand in the economy and labor market.
