Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Suyunbek Omurzakov, emphasized the significance of accountability for candidates to the Council for Justice Affairs against the backdrop of ongoing public distrust in the judicial system.
At the meeting of the parliamentary committee on law and order, Omurzakov noted that public grievances regarding the work of the courts remain relevant. Citizens often express dissatisfaction, pointing to issues such as corruption, the sale of judicial decisions, and bribery.

The deputy also reminded that the recent salary increase for judges, initiated by the president, is a positive step towards improving the situation. According to him, judges now receive some of the highest salaries in the country.

Omurzakov highlighted the importance of the work of the Council for Justice Affairs, which makes key decisions regarding judges. He noted that upon the approval of candidates, they will bear special responsibility for creating a fair and trustworthy judicial system.

Four candidates have been nominated to the Council for Justice Affairs: deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh Bekmurza Ergeshov and Kubanychbek Samakov, Ulukbek Chynybaev, nominated by the president, and Almaz Aydarov from the people's kurultai.
