At the meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh held on January 27, issues regarding the compliance of Almaz Aydarov, nominated by the People's Kurultai for the Council on Justice Affairs, with the established requirements were discussed.

Deputy Bolot Ibragimov expressed doubts about the candidate's higher education, noting that this aspect was not clearly addressed in the submitted documents.
In response, Mambetkerim Chekirov, chairman of the National Council of the People's Kurultai, confirmed that a verification had been conducted and there are official records of Aydarov's higher education. According to him, the candidate graduated from the Higher Technological Institute in the Osh region, which is supported by the relevant documents.

Deputy Abdyldabek Egemberdiev drew attention to the requirements of the constitutional law "On the Council for Justice Affairs." In particular, he referred to Article 7, which states that a member of the Council from the legal community must be over 40 years old, have a higher legal education, at least 15 years of experience in the legal profession, and not hold a position in state or municipal service. In this regard, he inquired about the presence of legal education and professional experience of Almaz Aydarov.

Aydarov himself, speaking before the deputies, acknowledged that he does not have a legal education. He added that the rules of the People's Kurultai do not require candidates to have a legal education. Aydarov expressed his readiness to perform his duties honestly and fairly if his candidacy is approved and noted his support for the reforms being carried out in the country.

Deputy Egemberdiev also clarified whether there were any violations of the legislation during the nomination of the candidate.

Almas Abytov, the representative of the president and the Cabinet of Ministers in the Jogorku Kenesh, explained that Article 7 of the Constitutional Law "On the Council for Justice Affairs" outlines the general requirements for candidates. A candidate must be a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, at least 40 years old, with an impeccable reputation, not have foreign citizenship, not be a member of a political party, and not have a criminal record, including expunged or removed convictions. He noted that there are no other requirements in the law.
