In Kara-Balta, the installation of modern "time relays" on streetlights has begun, which will optimize lighting management and reduce electricity consumption.

This information was announced by Kamchybek Esenbaev, head of the lighting sector of the municipal enterprise "Universal" in Kara-Balta.

According to Esenbaev, 10 devices have already been installed at electricity metering points, covering about 30 streets. The immediate plan is to fully equip 70 points under the enterprise's management.

The "time relay" system is set to automatically turn on street lighting at 6:00 PM and turn it off at 10:00 PM. In the morning, around 6 AM, the lights turn on again, providing illumination for those heading to work or attending to other matters. After sunrise, the streetlights automatically turn off, contributing to energy savings.

As of today, the new system mainly operates on the eastern streets of the city, including L. Tolstoy, Zhambyl, Kosmicheskaya, Sverdlova, Liza Chaikina, and the Bakai neighborhood. Work will soon continue on 40 Years of Kyrgyzstan Street, and in the future, the plan is to cover the entire city,” Esenbaev added.
