The MP emphasized the importance of the bill
At a parliamentary meeting, Zhanar Akayev called on his colleagues to join the work of the commission dealing with the rehabilitation of those repressed from 1918 to 1953.
The deputy noted that although the commission is already functioning, it is necessary to update its composition with new deputies.
It is worth reminding that the bill concerning the repressed was approved in the Jogorku Kenesh in November 2025, but the president returned it for revision.
As reported by one of the initiators of this project, Zhanar Akayev, its goal is to rehabilitate those citizens who were persecuted for political, religious, or other reasons during the specified period.
