Today, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic decided to return the electoral deposits to the candidates who participated in district No. 13. This decision was unanimously supported by all commission members at the meeting.

Earlier, the chairman of the CEC, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, reported that a total of 7 million soms had been collected from 25 candidates who planned to participate in the repeat elections.

According to him, the return of these funds will help "restore justice," considering that the repeat elections were canceled.

Shainazarov also reminded that the decision to annul the repeat voting was supported by the Administrative Court of Bishkek.

During the meeting, CEC member Kairat Mamatov expressed concern about whether it is premature to transfer mandates to three candidates if someone decides to challenge this in the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and wins the case.

In response, Tynchtyk Shainazarov stated that the commission must be ready to transfer mandates to the deputies recognized as winners of the elections held on November 30, 2025, emphasizing that such an approach would be fair.

However, the CEC clarified that, in addition to the return of the deposit, no other payments to the candidates are provided. Compensation for expenses related to campaigning, payment for the work of campaigners, printing of advertising materials, and other organizational costs will not be made.
