In response to questions from media representatives, he emphasized that the activities of the mayor's office will be focused on creation, but complete exclusion of demolitions is not possible.
“We strive to be remembered for positive changes. However, it cannot be claimed that demolitions will be completely stopped. In some cases, unpopular decisions will have to be made. The key remains taking into account the interests of the citizens,” noted Akaev.
He added that the main task of the new administration is to make Osh a comfortable, clean, and green city for its residents.
“I dream of Osh becoming a place where it is pleasant to live and where all necessary conditions are provided. A clean, well-maintained, and green city is my goal. We will work tirelessly, and I hope for the support of the residents,” said the mayor.
The mayor's office also reported that an analysis of the urban infrastructure is currently ongoing, based on which decisions will be made regarding further steps for the improvement and management of the urban territory.
