“Strict and serious leaders are needed right now”
Following the recent dismissal of Kanybek Dosmambetov from the position of Minister of Health, the Chair of the Medical Union, Bermet Baryktabasova, sent an appeal to the President of the country.
She emphasized that the medical sector currently needs strict and serious leaders like Dosmambetov.
“There has never been so much strength and intention from the leadership in the healthcare system as there is now. We can confidently state that the sector is on the brink of collapse, as there is a power grab in the area of drug provision and laboratory services. Key areas of medicine are experiencing a crisis, impoverishment, and degradation. This minister instilled hope in us. Please keep him in his position. If his appointment to this post is perceived as exile, then send him there. His fate should not be interfered with due to political changes,” she noted.
It is worth reminding that the day before, two ministers in the government were removed from their positions: Kanybek Dosmambetov, Minister of Health, and Bakyt Torobaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, responsible for water resources, agriculture, and the processing industry.
