The media revealed the salary of the teachers of Putin's and Kabaeva's probable sons.
As reported by the magazine Stern, the likely teacher for Ivan and Vladimir could be Irene E., a certified educator from the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany.
Irene, born in 1988 in Slavgorod, moved with her family to Germany. In 2017, she taught German at a secondary school in Siberia, and since 2021, she has been working as a translator at a private school in St. Petersburg, earning an annual salary of 28,000 euros, which is significantly higher than the average salary in this field, as the investigation showed.
Also mentioned among the alleged teachers is 33-year-old Sofia B., originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who has been living in Russia since 2017 and works at a charity organization owned by Alina Kabaeva. According to Stern, in 2023, Kabaeva's sisters organized several flights for Irene E. between Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Sochi, during which their paths crossed with Sofia B.
Currently, Irene E. and Sofia B. are officially employed as translators at the company Ena Invest, which is managed by Gennady Timchenko, a close friend of Putin. In November 2025, both women received a salary of 2.9 million rubles (32,000 euros), which is nearly 100 times the average monthly salary of Russian teachers.
According to Stern, Irene E. owns a 117-square-meter apartment in Moscow, valued at 1.6 million euros, while she is registered in St. Petersburg. The German publication notes that these facts cannot serve as conclusive evidence of the women's work for the President of the Russian Federation; however, they "fit into the overall picture" of the system built by Putin, as noted by Georgy Alburov from FBK.
In 2024, the "Dossier" center, founded by Mikhail Khodorkovsky, published data indicating that Vladimir Putin and Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva have two alleged sons named Ivan and Vladimir. According to the information, they primarily reside at the president's residence in Valdai and do not attend either school or kindergarten, being supervised by governesses, nannies, and trainers.
