The ex-wife of Bivol sentenced to community service for insulting Kyrgyz and Kazakhs

In St. Petersburg, the Lenin District Court issued a ruling in the case of blogger Ekaterina Bivol, whose provocative statements on social media sparked widespread resonance. She was found guilty of inciting interethnic hatred and humiliating human dignity, which resulted in a sentence of 60 hours of community service. The court based its decision on the findings of a linguistic examination, which confirmed that her posts contained gross insults and ideas of racial superiority.

The scandalous video released last autumn included aggressive attacks and profanity directed at the peoples of Central Asia. Criminalists noted that Bivol's rhetoric was aimed at discrimination based on national and linguistic criteria. The response from the Russian judicial system was swift: the blogger's actions were classified as incitement to hatred.

However, the consequences for Bivol extended beyond administrative responsibility in Russia. The authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan took a tough stance against the ex-wife of the famous boxer: a warrant for her arrest was issued in Bishkek, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan declared her wanted. Thus, she now holds the status of "persona non grata" and may face criminal prosecution in neighboring countries for attempting to attract attention through nationalist content.
