
An incident occurred in the Sokuluk district involving a shepherd who sold the cattle entrusted to him for grazing.
According to information provided by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, on January 3, 2026, a resident, I.M., born in 1974, approached the local police department requesting action against B.M., who had previously worked for her as a cattle herder.
The applicant reported that in 2010, B.M. took 10 heads of cattle for grazing and kept them in his barn located in the village of Töch-Bulak for 15 years. He later increased the number of animals to over 60, including cows and horses. However, B.M. is now not returning the cattle as he has sold them to third parties.
Based on this information, a criminal case was registered under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The suspect, B.M., born in 1959, was detained by police officers under Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all the circumstances of the case and assess the damage caused.
