The State Committee for National Security has uncovered a corruption scheme related to the illegal distribution of land in the Talas region. Special services reported that 43 individuals received land plots totaling 10 hectares and 75 ares in the Kara-Buurin rural administration of the Aytmatov district due to the forgery of rural administration resolutions.
It is also clarified that the total amount of illegally allocated plots is 56. As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that E.A.T., a specialist from the Aytmatov branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography, offered a bribe in the form of money to avoid inspection and accountability.
On January 20, 2026, E.A.T. was detained for giving a bribe of 100,000 soms to an employee of the State Committee for National Security as part of a criminal case initiated. Currently, the suspect is in a temporary detention facility, and measures are being taken to establish his involvement in the crime, as well as to identify other officials involved in these illegal activities.
