Document forgery became the basis for corrupt actions
The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has uncovered a corruption scheme related to the illegal distribution of land plots in the Talas region. This was reported in an official statement from the agency.
Law enforcement agencies found that, using forged resolutions from the local government, 43 citizens were unlawfully allocated 10 hectares and 75 hundredths of land in the Kara-Buurin local government, located in the Aitmatov district of the Talas region.
According to available operational data, a total of 56 land plots were illegally provided in a similar manner.
A specialist from the Aitmatov branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography, E.A.T., offered a bribe in cash to stop the investigation against him and avoid responsibility.
On January 20, 2026, he was detained while attempting to hand over a bribe of 100,000 soms to a GKNB officer as part of a criminal case initiated.
At present, the suspect is in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions are underway to establish his role in the crime, as well as to identify other officials involved in these illegal activities.
