A preliminary investigation has been initiated in Bishkek following a statement from citizen A.A., which was received today, according to information from the capital's Main Internal Affairs Directorate (GUVD).
A.A. claims that her ex-husband, Eldar Sulaymanov, a member of the Jogorku Kenesh, has been psychologically pressuring her for a long time and that there was physical violence in the past.
The GUVD reports that the statement has been registered in the Unified Register of Investigations (ZUI), and in response, a protection order has been issued in favor of the applicant.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are conducting the necessary verification actions. Additional details will be provided later. The capital's police department is monitoring the situation.
Eldar Sulaymanov is a member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and the son of Nurlan Sulaymanov, a former Minister of Transport and Communications.
He began his career at the enterprise "Electric Stations" and worked in institutions such as the Financial Police, the State Registration Service, and the apparatus of the Jogorku Kenesh.
In 2021, Sulaymanov was elected to the Osh City Council from the "Ata-Jurt Kyrgyzstan" party and then entered the Jogorku Kenesh from the same political force.
In the early parliamentary elections in 2025, he again received a mandate as a member of the Jogorku Kenesh, representing the multi-mandate electoral district No. 5 (Aravan).
